Documents:
Marriage Certificate (Long Form):
The New Brunswick Marriage Certificate comes in Long Form only and contains the
following information: name, sex, province or country of birth of both parties,
date of marriage, place of marriage, registration number, registration date and
date issued.
Marriage certificates are issued using the information from the original Registration
of Marriage, completed at the time of marriage. If a record cannot be found, a search
for a three-year period is carried out automatically and the applicant will be notified.
Photographic Print:
A Photographic Print contains all the information appearing on the original Registration
of Marriage. This document is generally only required for court purposes and is
not to be used for identification. A restricted photographic print is available
upon written consent of the parties.
